Apple iPhone 6s Plus

The prices are official.

Haha and they are literally laughable.

First of all the entry level variants are practically DOA due to 16 gb meagre space. (10-11 gb usable)

So we need to spend a minimum ₹72,000 for iPhone 6S 64 gb variant for the phone to be usable. It's ₹82,000 if we want the larger screen and OIS. Wah! Badhiyaa!

Has Apple lost it? How do they plan to make inroads into Indian market with such ridiculous pricing? My bet they will reduce by 10-15k within one month.

they make inroads with the 2 generation old model which are sold at well... prices comparable to android flagships.

i am seeing a lot of people carrying around recently purchased iPhone 5s. and they cost as much as a flagship android smartphone would cost in the market today. it's insane really.

So India is a dump ground for 2 year old tech and that too at this year's price?

I was keeping an eye on 6S launch and price but I cannot justify spending ₹82,000 even if it is for a loved one.

Sorry Apple. You lost my business this year. (Actually I am not sorry). This pricing made my decision much easier.

Apple charges extra just for OS(Operating system) because Hardware wise they are actually behind the market and yet I have seen more people with(like 10 times more) iPhones than genuine windows lol.

well. the same model is sold in the us market for free with contract.
You already know that contract system is almost dead throughout the world. Instead Carriers are coming out with rent based plans or outright purchase. Even Apple has come out with rental schemes.

exactly. i am surprised it's not launched in india already. 8000 bucks per month gets you the latest iPhone plus x number of calls, y number of texts and z GBs of data per month. it could easily get them a large number of subscribers even in a market like india.
