well TTEs don't want to get thrown out of a moving train so I don't blame them.
Once I was travelling by train during Kumbh Mela season and some accident happened that year during Kumb mela or with railways, its been many years I don't remember exact details. Local trains were not enough or the crowd was too much. All those peaceful devotees entered into reserved coaches and forcefully took seats.
It was a nightmare and I lost 25k, my house keys, important documents.
Why anyone without ticket is even allowed to board trains and wait listed ticket without confirmation doesn't even make sense.
During this Kumbh Mela I had a confirmed ticket from Kolakata to Delhi but train was cancelled just a week before my travel date to cater to Kumbh Mela event. Therefore I had to travel on a partially waitlisted ticket....... It was horrible experience.
