Broadband Connection from 400 m far pole?

Hello,

I wanted to get BSNL Broadband connection (the only option!) but the nearest landline pole is nearly 400m far from my home. I've to ask them regarding this but at this time, can someone from you tell me if there is any hope to get connection here?

And if they say that they can't than is there anything I can do?

@AkashDS , things might be better now. Maybe there's a friendly neighbourhood LCO. Or maybe more people in the locality are now looking to use broadband.

In last 5 years i have seen excitel speed bumped from 4mbps to now 100mbps fiber for base plan.

Airtel from 4mbps adsl to now 16mbps vdsl and 100mbps xstream fiber in coming month(delayed due to lockdown).

New act fiber with 100mbps base plan at launch.

Mtnl still on adsl but 2mbps to 8mbps. Never tried.
Vdsl still ridiculously expensive. Ftth not available in area.

Well, they arrived a few weeks ago and already serving a few areas. They "said" that they were planning to start their services in my area but they are being stopped by local people as the pole have to be installed through Panchayat Bhawan. They said locals were saying it will "stop their social activities".

I tried hard to convince them but they said they cannot provide the connection as the locals might cut the cable even after gaining permission from local authority.

LCO?

I recently called them again and they are still saying same stuff. All the areas near me are having BSNL Fiber connection, except mine. 😂

They did offered me BSNL AirFiber, saying it will be available in 30-40 days and it will be really good.
