## Upto 4 Mbps till 100 GB, 256 Kbps beyond in selected Circle/SSAs (Karnataka Circle, Tamilnadu Circle, Hyderabad SSA, Faridabad SSA, Noida SSA, Gurgaon SSA, Gaziabad SSA only).
### Upto 4 Mbps till 175 GB, 256 Kbps beyond in selected Circle/SSAs (Karnataka Circle, Tamilnadu Circle, Hyderabad SSA, Faridabad SSA, Noida SSA, Gurgaon SSA, Gaziabad SSA only).

This is kind of evil.

They should sell it as narrow band plan...

I got no idea why BSNL has two faces. States like Andhra Pradesh has 2Mbps speed beyond the FUP limits, and the plans in the state are very different.
Guess AP is only state where BSNL is keeping up to the needs of people!
Seriously wishing they implement the plans in other states as well

AP has Act. There you go. Airtel has special plans in Hyderabad and Bangalore. BSNL has special plans in these two cities. Chennai is another city where ACT has entered and Airtel and BSNL are offering special plans.

Whatever could be the reason for that but it's just giving them unfair advantage over the rest. Is there a way you could appeal in the court for that?

So even if definition of broadband is changed to 2 or more Mbps, ISPs will shamelessly bring unlimited BB plans with even 64kbps in the future... Lack of competition is the main problem in wireline BB...

No need to go to any court. BSNL is Govt department not a private company. Just write to TRAI, Telecom Ministry & Prime Minister's office about BSNL's scam. They will act (i hope).

I agree with you guys but its working out for me because I was paying 2500 + taxes for 175 gb to airtel with just 2mbps and now I am paying 2250+ stax and also 175 gb from BSNL somehow lasts longer than airtel even though the speed is almost double, The only catch being post fup. I always end up wasting atleast 10 to 15 gb and thats fine by me because I don't want to surf at 256 kbps , oops I mean 170 Kbps.

Yup. You are not wasting bandwidth if the bandwidth is enough for your requirement.

I do not see any isp offering 64kbps on wired broadband today. BSNL as this thread mentions is an exception at not offering 512kbps post fup speed on all their plans.

@chromaniac I still think they are testing water.. If BSNL is allowed, it will not take much time for others esp pvt players to bring 64kbps post fup speed.. The same happened with blackout days.. Initially all pvt operators brought SMS black out days, but its BSNL who bring voice call black out days on festive days [No voice STV will work on those days].. Later others started following this for eg: Tata...
