Today I got the Netgear Wireless router😀

After wired-test, I switched on my WiFi on my laptop....and just connected to the accesspoint..it picked up the Netgear neatly and I checked the signal strength across my house...never dropped below 50% (which is good!)

I am still a newbie with the wifi and other wireless routers (so plz dont mind this).....As this guy metioned that the signal strength never dropped below 50%, does this mean that in this area (where signal strength is half of the original) u get half the badnwidth of the connection..is this the packet loss b/w wifi device and router???

Hey thats intresting. When signals falls to weak does that mean that the speed also falls. I guess yes but I am not sure.

errm. i doubt it would reduce the bandwidth by half. signal strength would just affect the reliability and smoothness of the data flow.... you do not exactly lose half the words when the mobile shows half signals 😕

Ill go thru the Help of my Wifi and see what have to say. Interesting results may emerge.
