Flipkart vs Amazon vs Snapdeal

I do not think we have any thread that specifically talk about the benefits of one service over another.

This week I found out something interesting so decided to start this...

Amazon is better than Flipkart because...

  • If you decide to pay for next day or two day delivery, the charge for the same is per order. Flipkart on the other hand charge for faster shipping per item. This is a huge difference between the two companies!
  • Amazon refunds your money if you decide to return a product instead of forcing a replacement on you. Flipkart usually offer replacements though I have been able to return products in the past. Not sure how their policy stands these days. Of course, if you want a quick replacement for a DoA product, Flipkart should be faster than Amazon.

Free Next Deliveries via Flipkart first. Can be beneficial especially if you are ordering a small item.
 
usually Items are cheaper on Amazon. atleast thats what i found. though i'd like flipkart first like subscription on amazon.

40/- shipping charges for orders under 499/- kills many good deals.

I am not sure if flikpart has chat system on website. Amazon chat support definitely helps in many cases.
 
yup. i hate the idea of paying 40 bucks for shipment. i end up ordering from snapdeal.
especially when you can pay for 2 day delivery for 49. and 99 for next day 😛
 
Free Next Day Deliveries are hardly available on most listings, forget about getting that on low cost products. Flipkart First is pretty useless now. The only advantage is 'No shipping cost'.
 
Amazon might be waiting before it can introduce few more services and then only it will be able to bring Amazon Prime here. Not sure how long is that gonna take.

Though I would rather prefer it to just go ahead and offer a basic subscription service to discount the deliveries. lol
 

Think price wise Amazon is way better as mentioned above specially electronics .i recently purchased a nikon dslr camera and must have checked out tens of sites including palika bazaar..none could match amazon and got the shipment next day for 99 extra..pretty impressive
 
Amazon all the way. I also noticed the per order shipping charge while buying some books last week. Nifty.

Flipkart+WS Retail was really good. But, flipkart killed WS retail too soon and hasn't added enough 'advantage sellers' even yet. Amazon fulfilled sellers are much greater in number.

Flipkart returns are a hassle. They will not refund unless you replace the same product twice. Their support system seems to have very little internal coordination. Simply frustrating these days. A far cry from how awesome Flipkart used to be.
 
Especially after october, when fk will be app only, Amazon will become darling for all.. And exactly at the same time my fk first subscription is coming for renewal... Due to the app only decision, I can save that Rs500/-
 
Flipkart is going downhill steadily. For the last 2-3 experiences I was forced to buy from Amazon because of either faster delivery, better pricing, or both. And my experience with Amazon has been pretty solid thus far.
 
I ordered 2 items on ebay recently...but thats mainly because i got 200Rs off on 250Rs item!!

So obviously - I had to buy item from ebay!
