for whasapp maybe microsoft smartphone?

I would be fine with a Lumia if WhatsApp works fine on it these days? I believe basic models cost below Rs. 5000 these days?

checked a few basic lumia devices. do not look like good deals when compared with xiaomi mi devices 😕
so now the question is... which one to get...

a6000
a6000 plus
a7000
k3 note

i would prefer to stay in the 6-7K range but i suppose i can get to the 10k range as well. would need to hide the price of the phone in that case.

that's not that big of an issue. my mom is unlikely to spend much time on the phone. maybe i should just get the Redmi note? or redmi 2? xiaomi has at least figured out their software.
