Paytm is the new ICICI Bank

So I had to send some money to @mhsabir. I decided to use Paytm wallet.

Tried website... The UI exists. But when you submit the form, you get a message to use the Paytm Wallet app.

So basically. Paytm decided to separate the money transfer component to a separate app... Making our lives so much more fun.

They are going ICICI in that model. One for each thing & finally an app which will open all of those from one place
 
They also have dedicated apps for individual services in some cases. IIRC Videocon DTH official app is powered by Paytm.
 
Yup. There are twp apps. D2H Infinity is a more complete account management app by themselves. They seem to have tied up with Paytm for a recharge only app (which shows balance without login/password)
 
Jumman Miyan sounds more interesting.
 

I was not able to login to my Paytm account online to add some money for Uber, the OTP never came, had to then revert to credit card payments. From easy to shitty, that was pretty fast.
 
they added an option for voice call recently. though it would have been nice to get otp through email as well.
i am having a harrowing time with these services. i have had issues with Paytm and payu otps in recent weeks. and currently i just cannot get otps from mobikwik.
 
Maybe it is the problem with the operator as you seem to be having problem with OTPs from different vendors?
 
little i can do about that. idea blames the otp sender. otp sender blames idea. and me. because i must have entered the wrong number in the app. or my phone's memory must be full.
 
would check if mobikwik otps are coming on the second idea prepaid i have. and if it does, would file a complaint with pgportal.
 
I used Mobikwik to book movie tickets today (to get Rs.150 cash back 😛) and the otp came almost immediately.
 
well it does come on my backup number which is direct idea. my primary number is mnped number. 🙁
 
I hate that you cant right click on Paytm website , then when you go back from the product page you have scroll down to the list where you clicked again .
