Yes. Here there's hardly any competition and it's always airtel or bsnl. You choose depending on the feasibility. I didn't know airtel was feasible in my place so chose bsnl as i already had their connection. As for bbnl recently i saw a local channel in which an ad was running. Plans were good although only two were displayed on tv. The name is Udupi Net/Namma Net. There was nothing related to bbnl which was shown but after calling the local cable operator i got to know it's from bbnl. They don't have that many subscribers right now as airtel is dominating in the city and rest of them use crappy bsnl like me. Airtel already provides 16mbps with 80gb fup for 1400 which is decent imo so no one seems to be interested.
Plans seem decent. Cable operator has promised to give the connection by this week and we've to buy a cable modem for 2000 initially. No other charges 🙂 I'll start a new thread once i get the connection.
Nope. Coaxial it is. Will be happy if they provide consistent speeds with minimal downtimes. I'm fed up with bsnl's crazy downtimes in the past few weeks.
