Unstable DSL for BSNL Broadband connection.

I am a BSNL broadband customer for the past 2years.
I have the rural 550plan for my home use.
I had my connection running perfectly at a speed of 512Kbps(60KBps approx).
But about 3 months ago my connection started loosing stability.
The DSL often goes out and starts blinking.


I want to know the possible causes for this, how to identify the reason of instability, and how to rectify it.

Kindly help me.....

I am currently using a D-Link DSL-2520U modem. I am also planning to switch to D-Link DSL-2750U modem since I need WiFi.....
 
Open 192.168.1.1 in your browser and look for something called Line stats, stuff like snr, attenuation etc

Username and password both should be admin or admin/password.

Happy D-Link 2730 U user here. I have bought 2750 U for a friend some 2 years back.
